Gobble Gobble

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends that are celebrating today!
I know in our house, we'll be gobblin' and wobblin' today and again on Saturday when we host our BIG family "Turkey Day After" Dinner with out of town family.
Can you say TURKEY OVERLOAD???
Here's a little Turkey giggle for you -

There are so many things to be thankful for this holiday season -
Health, Family, Employment, and so many more Blessings God has given us.  I could sit here I'm sure for hours and continue to list things I'm thankful for (but then none of us will get dinners made for our families - and hungry families on a holiday is not a good thing!  =)

One thing at Shelly's Images we are thankful is all of our followers and friends that stop by and visit on a regular basis.  We are so thankful that you take time out of your busy schedule to come visit and craft with us.

Thank you for being a loyal follower and friend - I know I speak for everyone at Shelly's Images when I say the friendships we have made here are such a blessing!  We are so THANKFUL for YOU!!

And after your meals are cooked, your families are fed and you've left the dishes and clean up to SOMEONE ELSE in your family (don't forget this part!!!), come join us for the OH SCRAP challenge.  You've still got another week to get out those scraps and create something amazing!  =)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh SCRAP!!!

Happy Terrifically Thrilling Thursday!!
Today is a great day for several reason!

One reason, I've been trying to find my Turkey Day After Dinner invitations that I made weeks ago - I was telling Shelly last night when I talked to her that I felt like a crazy lady and that my passport was stamped for a one way trip to crazy town.
Well, last night - the seas parted and WAA HOO - I found (and MAILED) the Turkey Day invitations....Actually, my WONDERFULLY hubby located them!  =)

YAH HOO!!!

A second reason today is great -
It's a Challenge Thursday and the design team whipped up some AWESOME Noel Christmas cards using this FABULOUS Noel image!
AND our OH SCRAP Challenge

Can you believe we're breaking out the Christmas Cards already?  It seems like just yesterday it was sweltering hot and July!

The OH SCRAP challenge?  Other than the base of your card, use SCRAPS to make your amazing creations.

The DT and I truly loved this project.  And the buttons were the perfect addition to that beautiful flourish.   I will be emailing you very soon with your $6 gift voucher.  Please also be sure to grab your "Beary" Favorite badge here.

We also have two more awards to round out our Top 3 for this challenge.  These awards go to Lorianna from Lorianna's Corner and Margreet from Margreet's Scrapcards!

Lorianna, this is such a beautiful layout on this project.  We loved the colors and the pop of pink.   And the snowflakes with the pearls are so beautiful.

Margreet, we loved the shape and layout of this beautiful project too.  I especially liked the perfect sponging of color around the image.  It really sets it off so beautifully.  And of course you have so many fun embellishments added that really finish off this project perfectly.

Tutorial Tuesday - Refilling Copic Markers

Happy Tuesday y'all and Happy Chilly Fall!
Grab your coffee - I've found a new favorite for my Kuerig machine 'Vanilla Mocha' with Heath Bar Creamer - YUMMO!!!

I've been colorin' like crazy lately and of course, all my Copics seem to need a little 'refillin' lately!
Well, I've got a simple way I thought I'd share with you to refill your markers.
So, all you need is is a Copic ink refill and matching marker that needs refilling.
Also, to make less mess if you have bad aim - I always have a piece of my trusty cardboard. =)

Remove cap of ink refill and cap of Copic Marker (the Broad tip end)

Carefully drop refill liquid onto broad tip end of the marker.

It takes a little time, but you don't have to spend the Moo-lah on the little refiller thing-a-ma-jiggy (yep, that's the technical name) AND you don't have to pull out the nib and potentially make a bigger mess with a spill.  =)

Happy Refillin'!

ROLLIN' with Shelly's Girlies!

HOW-DY - Min checkin' in to say 'Howdy' - yah, guess I already said Howdy, huh?  =)

So I thought I'd share with you a little pumpkin' carvin' the hubbster and I did for Halloween.  Yep, we dug into the goopy pumpkin guts, cleaned out the pumpkin and created some super fun and amazing works of art that are now starting to get all wrinkly and shrinky.

However, in their glory (and on Halloween night) they looked magnificent! (The Baby's 1st Halloween was for our friends who live next door - our little nephew was celebrating his very first Halloween - so it was only fitting!)

Okay, so now that I've TOTALLY gotten off topic - I think I remember a teacher in junior high remind us all about STAYING ON TOPIC - yep, didn't fair so well there, did I?  =)

Okay, so back ON topic!

Have you joined in our ROLL 'EM challenge yet?  If you're asking yourself, "Roll 'em?  What in the world is she talking about?"  Well, that means you OBVIOUSLY HAVEN'T joined us yet!!

So, to peak your interest, I thought I'd share you with the Fabulous Fall Fence (with an added Pumpkin' that I love) all from Shelly's Images Store!

So, be inspired, hit the Shelly's Images Store, Stay on Topic and join us for our Roll' Em' Challenge - you could be our Winner this week, but you can't win if you don't play!
Hugs & Happy Days!

TTT Challenge - Roll 'Em

Happy Thursday friends!
We are ready to start a brand new challenge and we hope you will join in and play along with our fun "Roll 'Em" challenge.

This week our amazing Design Team is featuring "Fall Fence"

Marianne "rolled" 3 for Bling, 6 for Embossing, and 8 for 3 Buttons.
I just love this project and especially like the twine tied to the side with the pretty embellishment.

Priscilla rolled 1 for Flowers, 4 for Ribbon, and 7 for Digital Image.
I love how Priscilla tore the edges of the paper around the letters.

Jackie rolled 4 for Ribbon, 7 for Digital Image, and 8 for 3 Buttons.
I love the way the digi stamp is framed by the beautiful sparkly leaves.  And Jackie's coloring on the image is fantastic!
Miranda rolled  0 for Kraft, 5 for Distressing, and 8 for 3 buttons.
I love the shape of this project and absolutely love how Miranda shows a completely different way to color the image.  Such a soft and water color look.

Darlene rolled 1 for flowers, 2 for using at least 2 layers, and 7 for Digital Image
The flowers in pretty Fall colors really finish off this project perfectly.  And I love the sparkly centers.

And last is my project.  I promised to share the project I made using my tutorial that I shared on Tuesday.  If you missed my "Squash Card" tutorial you can find it here.  The only change I made from the tutorial is that I folded down the front part of the square to reveal the inside folds.
I rolled 3 for Bling, 4 for Ribbon, and 7 for Digi Image.
And a photo to show the card folded open.

Now it's your turn!!!!  Just use the Random Number Generator in our sidebar.  Type in 0 for the minimum number and 9 for the maximum number.  Click "Generate" and make note of your numbers.  Repeat the process two more times so you end up with 3 numbers.  Don't cheat!!!  You will ruin all the fun!  It really is so fun to see what you can create with three random ingredients.

Roll 'em
