Making Glimmer Mists

Hi friends!
It's Tuesday and time for another Tutorial.  Today I thought I would do a little video tutorial to show you my tips and techniques for making Glimmer Mist sprays.

If you have any trouble clicking the video above, please click this link to the video.

Making your own Glimmer Mists is really very fun and of course cost saving.  Don't be afraid to mix paints too and come up with your own wonderful color concoctions.

Items needed:
Acrylic Metallic Paint - (non metallic works too)
Rubbing Alcohol
Ranger Ink Mini Mister
2 bb's

  1. WOW! Great job Shelly and great idea! I'll be giving this a try! I have a variety of acrylic paints and never thought to turn some of it into a mist! Thanks again!

  4. Hi Shelly - I purchased all of the items I needed today to make my own Glitter Mist - I found the Folk Art Brand of Metallic Paints at Walmart - I purchased Black, rust and Gold - the BB's were hard to find - I found them at a Hunting/Fishing Store near me and the smallest bottle was 1500 BB's for $5 - I just made the Gold Glimmer mist and it worked grand! I am going to make the other two colors and then I will purchase more colors of these paint from Walmart - which was $1.77 a bottle in Michigan. Thanks for this idea - I am looking forward to finding more colors of this paint. This is a saver for sure! Enjoy your day!
