TTT Challenge Winners - It's all about the BLINGAGE!

Whew...is it already Thursday again?  The weeks seem to be flying by!  Thanks so much to everyone who entered our "Bling" challenge.  Some truly amazing projects were entered.

Here are our winners for this week.
The Gold Medal Award winner is Leesa from Gone by the Board.
Leesa...all of your projects are stunning, but somehow each new project amazes me just a little more than the last.  This card is amazing.  We loved the warm colors and the fact that the traditional reds and greens of Christmas cards are not used here.  The bling you added is perfect.  Love those sparkly stars!  I will be emailing you very soon with your $6 gift voucher.
Our Silver Medal Award winner is Rina from Scrapbook Fashionista.
Rina...wow!  There are so many things that we loved about your project that it is a little hard to know where to start.  We LOVED the bling on this project.  And the stars that you used that frame the red and white striped paper are genius!  I love the result!  Please be sure to grab the silver medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

And, Our Bronze Medal Award winner is Hazel from My Crafty Outlook.  Hazel, thank you so much for using our "All Wrapped Up" snowman on your project this week.  We loved the silver you used behind the image and the paper pieces.  And the stars go so well with our snowman.  Great work!  Please be sure to grab the bronze medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

Thanks again to everyone who entered our challenge this week.  Please be sure to join our new challenge which begins today.  We can't wait to see what you create.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday Challenge

Welcome back to another fun challenge here at Shelly's Images.

A few weeks ago, we told you about how every now and again we will have a SPECIAL INVITED GUEST DESIGNER joining us to showcase the image of the week on our Terrifically Thrilling Thursday posts,  and inspire you for the week's challenge.  It will be someone whose creative talent we admire and would like to share with you.  And they have been chosen from the commenters on the DT Lead's personal blog.

You could win a certificate at EACH of the two blogs ... how awesome is that!

Three Fold Card Tutorial

It's time once again for Tutorial/Technique Tuesday here at Shelly's Images.

Today I'd like to share another fancy fold card design with you.
It's the THREE FOLD CARD ...

You will need TWO pieces of card stock (or design paper) to make a Three Fold Card.  Your FIRST piece of paper will be cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored to make the sides meet in the middle.  If you have a Scor-Pal there are score lines already marked for you (see next photo) to achieve equal sides.

See the DOTS next to the 2 and close to the 6 1/2?
Those are the score lines you will follow to achieve this 'gate' fold.

Your SECOND piece will be cut 4 1/4" x 9 1/8" and scored at 5 1/2". This piece will be adhered to the back of your 'gate' folded card and the short flap will come down over the front.  I chose to BORDER PUNCH the front flap for extra character.

Now you can decorate it anyway you would like!
Here is my finished card . . .

The design paper used for my card is from the Graphic45 Le' Romantique 8x8 pack (2 sided).  My inside sentiment is from the Shelly's Images 'Key To My Heart' stamp set.

This is such a fun, fancy fold to create and can be decorated in so many ways ... for so many occasions!
I hope you'll give it a try and please let us know if you do ... we'd love to come to see what you create!

Have a fabulous day and be sure to stop back on Thursday for our next Terrifically Thrilling Thursday Challenge and meet my Special Guest Designer!  See you then!

Happy Thursday everyone!
Thanks so much for the lovely entries for our "You Pick 2 Challenge".  It is so inspirational to see all of the amazing projects each week.

Picking just three medal winners this week was so hard.  But here are the favorites from the Design Team and I.
The Gold Medal Award winner is Ann Marie from My Eclectic Spirit.
Ann we loved all the details of your project.  The pearls are perfect and really add to the theme.  And the flourish punch looks like waves around the image.  Sooooo pretty!  I will be emailing you very soon with your $6 gift voucher.
Our Silver Medal Award winner is Patricia from Rubber Stamping is my Game.
Patricia we loved the bright colors of this fun project.  We love how you cut some fish that you added below the punched image.  Please be sure to grab the silver medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

And, Our Bronze Medal Award winner is Kevin from McCrafty's Cards.  Kevin, we loved your project.  The stick pins are the perfect addition to this project.  And the soft lavender color in the papers and embellishments work so nice.  Great job!  Please be sure to grab the bronze medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

TUESDAY TUTORIAL

TEA LIGHT HOLDER Hi Girls, it's Tuesday, so time for another Tutorial, You all know by now that I love to make special fold cards or little boxes. This time I wanna show you a Tea-Light-Holder.
You need: 1 piece of cardstock 6 x 11 inches 1 piece of cardstock 4 x 9 inches scoretool tape circle cutter of spellbinder circles tealight (you can use an electric of a tealight in a glass) stuff to pimp it up
Take the largest piece of cardstock and score it at 1, 5, 6 and 10 inches
Turn your paper around and score at 1 and 5 inches
Fold an cut the lines as shown, and draw an X, this is for helping you cutting the cricle.
Here you can see how you cut out the circle and how it turns out.
Tape or glue your box together.
For the backside, take the other piece of cardstock and score at 4 and 5 inches.
Now glue the second piece of cardstock at bottom and back of the box and you have a Tea-Light-Holder. And now it's time to decorate it as you please. If you want to see mine pimped up, come back on Thursday, I will show it to you, I made it with our Featured Image.
