TTT Challenge Winners - It's all in the NUMBERS

Happy Thursday everyone!
I am running a little behind today.  :(  Seems like everything should be a little less rushed with Summer in full swing, but I never seem to catch up.
Thanks so much to the entries for our "Numbers" challenge.

The Gold Medal Award winner is Christi from Christi's Creations.
Congratulations Christi.  The DT and I loved this beautiful explosion box.  There were so many wonderful decorative elements inside.  I especially love the little slide in tag.  And a project for the 4th of July is perfect for this challenge.  I will be emailing you in just a few minutes with your $6 gift voucher.

Our Silver Medal Award winner is Paul from Crafty Blogocks.
Paul, we loved this circular easel card.  And having the numbers hold the easel when it is open was just PERFECT for this challenge.  I also love the detail in the lettering of the name.  All of those touches really make the project so special.  Please be sure to grab the silver medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

And, Our Bronze Medal Award winner is Kim from Kreations by Kim Kutie.  Kim we loved the way you incorporated the number on your project.  And the colors you chose for your papers are some of my current favorites to work with.  Lovely project.  Please be sure to grab the bronze medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

Be sure to join in the fun with our "You Pick2" challenge.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday

With the RIGHT shoe image, ANYTHING is possible!!  And the digi we're sharing with you today makes great cards possible - and it gives you so many ways you can use it too!!  You'll see that when you take a look at the awesome projects our wonderful little team here has put together!  =)

Today, our FEATURED image today is "High Heels.”   You can get this amazing image with butt shrinking powers*, TODAY ONLY at a REDUCED PRICE!!  Click on the image name below the watermarked photo to go directly to its location in our new store!  (If you haven't registered for the new store, yet, be sure you do so you get the special perks!)

* Digi High Heel Shoes image above don't really have butt shrinking powers, but I know from my experience when I get a pair of shoes like this and put them on, my butt looks smaller.
Just didn't want you to think for less than $3 you could get an image that would instantly make your butt look smaller.  =)

High Heel Shoes

In addition to an awesome pair of shoes - with great Butt shrinking capabilities*, we have a Terrrifically FUN challenge for you this week!

Have you ever visited Panera Bread?  It's my  most FAVORITE stop for an Iced Tea and Asiago Cheese Bagel or Cranberry Orange Muffin.

Well, at lunch they have a YOU PICK 2 option - you get to pick two parts to make your lunch - like a 1/2 sammie (My fave- Sierra Turkey) and a small salad (my 2nd pick - Asian Sesame Chicken Salad).  You get the idea.
Yep, anytime I can combine food & crafting, it's a good day!  =)

So, that's what we're doing with today's Challenge at Shelly's Images -
It's a YOU PICK TWO challenge.
Pick at least two of the following and use on your creation -
Your choices?
*  Ribbon
* Bling
* The Color Blue
* Flowers
* Markers
* A digi
* A monochromatic color scheme
* A Punched Border

YOU PICK TWO and show us what you come up with!

Our design team was busy You Picking Two and here's what they came up with -

Amanda went crazy and picked lots of stuff on the list - A Digi, Flowers, BLING & Markers.  Aren't you just lovin' these shoes in Red & Black?

Darlene is lookin' particularly pleasant in purple and black and I think the ONLY thing she didn't pick was the color blue!
WOW Darlene! =)

AND she also included a great sentiment (which was a suggested sentiment idea offered in the description area for the image in Shelly's store)  for this card!

Stephanie combined a little digi and some blue (with some flowers)!

Sammibug created some very cool shoes - love the pattern and she included a digi, ribbon, flowers, markers and blue!

Jen used 'em all AND a spotlight technique too!

And Min - that's me - I went a little color crazy, but hey,
why not some crazy colored shoes?  I used some Ribbon, Markers and Bling - not quite the over-achiever like some of the other girls - you know who you are!  =)

Inspired??
Well, get busy creating, so you can play along with us for your chance to win!

Tuesday Tutorial - Copic Blender

Happy Tuesday!
I wanted to share a little something I figured out tinkering with my copics the other day.
I love tinkering with products to see what out of the ordinary things I can do with them.
I'm sure someone has long since come up with this, but it's new to me, so I thought I'd share it with you!

It involves an Embossing folder, a Copic Color of your choice, a Copic colorless blender and some paper.
Color the amount of paper you're going to need with your Copic color
Get out your Embossing folder
 Run your colored paper and embossing folder through your Embossing machine
Here is what your paper should look like after you've embossed it.
Take your colorless blender and carefully color over the bumpy part of your embossing - in this case it's the words that will be embossed.
You may have to go over it a few times depending on how much you want your raised embossing to pop.  Here I went over it 3 times.  Of course you could do it more.  Totally up to you and what you're trying to accomplish.
It's kind of hard to photograph, but you can see the raised embossing is a bit lighter than the actual background.
Here's a little snippet of how it turned out on my card.
Thanks so much for coming by today to check out this little tutorial!
I hope you enjoyed it and give it a try.

Stop back on Thursday to see the completed project!
Hugs & Happy Days!

Scrabble Block Sentiments using MS Word

A tutorial by Jen Leeflang for Shelly’s Images.com

You will need:
Computer
Printer
MS Word
Stick-on Alphabet individual letters

Here’s what you do:
Decide on the sentiment (words) you want to use and count the number of Scrabble tiles you will need. Remember to include a ‘blank’ tile for the space between each word.
Measure the size of your stick-on letters as this will determine the size of your Scrabble tile.
Open a new document in MS Word
Click on “Insert”
Click on “Shapes”
Select this shape from the "Basic Shapes"

Click and drag the shape to the size you require to fit your stick-on letter (you use the ruler on your MS Word document to help you)
Once you have your first tile, click on tile, then right-click and select “Copy”.
Now you can right-click and “Paste” the number of tiles you will need, eg

The last step is to click and drag the tiles into line, horizontally, or vertically according to the design of your sentiment, eg
Now you can print your sentiment directly onto your cardbase, or you can cut out each individual tile to add to your creation.

A little tip: If you right-click on your shape/tile, you can select “Format AutoShape” and then use the drop-down arrow to select a new colour or texture for your tile.

I hope you found that simple enough to do and enjoyed learning something new.Pop back here on Thursday to see how I used this technique on my Terrifically Thrilling Thursday inspiration card I have to share with you.

See you here on Thursday to see who our TERRICIALLY THRILLING GUEST DESIGNER is!
