Marvelous Monday with a Happy Hour Twist

Welcome to today's version of Marvelous Monday - I'm your host for the week :) So glad you joined us this week for another Marvelous Monday!! Today we're adding a little Tropical Happy Hour Twist to your Monday!! No need to get out those dancing shoes - just get out your favorite salt/sugar rimmed 'FANCY' drink glass and GET HAPPY with us!

I'm not sure about you, but I'm a light-weight when it comes to 'adult' beverages, but I'm pretty partial to the fruity ones (especially those with umbrellas in them - while my toes are enjoying the sandy beach). Really, they don't have to have anything in them that makes them an 'adult' beverage. I'm happy with anything that takes me off to the tropics.

I digress, while wishing I was sitting in the beach chair listening to the ocean from our more recently highlighted Island Life image, let's celebrate and add a little more Happy to our Monday Tropical HAPPY HOUR.

"Happy Hour Lime"

"Happy Hour Pineapple"

"Happy Hour Strawberry"

Have you ever noticed how fruit in your drink makes things THAT MUCH BETTER?? :)

You can get this terrific Happy Hour Set for a great deal - buy two, get one free. Just add any two images to your cart and add "Happy Hour" to the customer comment section. Shelly will email you the third Happy Hour image.

Talk about HAPPY HOUR!!! :)

Now that we've shown you the images, how about a little Happy Hour inspiration from the Design Team Girlz!

A little Happy Hour with Audrey -

And a little tropical paradise beverage from me -

So, RUN, don't walk over to the store and get yourself this Sweet little set and join us for a little Tropical Happy Hour!!

TTT Challenge!

It's time for another Terrifically Thrilling Thursday Challenge here at Shelly's Images!

It's a hectic time for many of you! Some have kids to get off to school (- or are anxiously waiting for the new school year to begin!). Some of you may have your furbabies running around clamouring for their morning constitutional. Some of you are listening to the frantic cries of "Honey, have you seen my...keys/glasses/paperwork...", etc. or they are helping you look for yours! Either way - Mornings are tough sometimes! With that in mind, I have a fun new challenge theme for you today!

I'm calling it 'This place is a ZOO!' Let's see your cards or creations featuring images of animals, kids, or men! The twist? You must have more than one of these on your card or project! (For example, you'd use a stamp of a boy on his horse, two squirrels, a child with her puppy, etc.) Good luck and have fun! We look forward to seeing your fabulous creations!

A few rules...

~No Backlinking! New cards only! It is not fair to enter previously created cards!
~ Please enter you challenges using the InLinks widget below! We do ask that you turn off WORD MODERATION and use comment moderation so our DT may easily leave comments on all entries. As long as you follow the theme and follow the rules as listed above, this should be fun all around! Feel free to combine challenges, and enter multiple cards/projects! We just love to see what you do!

WHO WILL OUR TTTHURSDAY CHALLENGE WINNER BE???

What a lovely entries we had this week. I want to thank all of you for joining us with this
vacation challenge. And how lovely to see that there where a couple of the same images.
And still the cards and projects where so different.

Fab Job ladies.

And the winner is???????

Jan Hunnicutt

Congrats on becoming the winner. Please email Shelly at
Shelly@shellysimages.com to claim your prize.

Enjoy the new challenge that is made by my wonderful and creative team member Scrappy!

Fab Follower of the Week!

A THANK YOU and CONGRATS to

LORI from Playing with Paper for being our Fab Follower of the Week here at Shelly's Images.

If you haven't visited Lori's blog, it is definitely a must.

Not only is she a Great Lakes girl like me, but her blog is ORANGE and ORANGE is one of my most

F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E colors. :)

She's a card maker and a scrapper and makes some amazing things.

One of my favorite is the layout of Lake Michigan. :)

If you haven't stopped over to Lori's Playing with Paper blog, stop by and leave her some love!!

Congrats again Lori for being this week's Fab Follower of the Week!

We're so happy to have you as one of our followers!!!

Hugs!

Technique Tuesday

Hi again! I'm back with another exciting post! This time I'm here to share a super fun tutorial! It involves CHOCOLATE, and a digi from Shelly's Images - so its gotta be good! Hope you like it!

This fun little chocolate filled purse would make a great favor for a shower, wedding, or even for a ladies tea! So versatile, fun, and easy to make - how can you go wrong?

Supply list:

2-1/2 " x 6-3/4" strip of cardstock
Ribbon
Glue Dots
4 Dove or Hershey Bliss chocolate squares
Rhinestones
Image for inside, cs scrap for matting
Border Punch of choice

Optional:
Scor-pal
bone folder

Step 1:

Score strip of cardstock base horizontally at the following measurement marks:

- 1-1/2 inches
- 2 inches
- 4-1/4 inches
- 4-3/4 inches

Step 2:

Fold on score lines, pressing down firmly for crisp creases. Using your border punch, punch the smallest flap from the end, being sure that you work from the middle out (punch in the center first, then line up pattern to punch either side).

Step 3:

Using Glue Dots, adhere four chocolate squares as shown. Attach ribbon firmly below purse flap (as a purse strap) using a row of glue dots. Adhere colored, matted image to bottom of the inside flap.

Step 4:

Adhere rhinestones with Glue Dots as shown or in whatever style suits you. Add a small glue dot under purse flap as a closure. VOILA! You are done! Pretty simple right?
