Baby, it's HOT outside.  Wowsa!  And of course we decide to do the most work in our yard during this crazy weather.
Here are our winners for this week.
The Gold Medal Award winner is Ali from TeddyBobCrafts.
Ali...thank you so much for entering the challenge with not only an SI digi stamp but also the very stamp that we featured this week.  SO fun to see this amazing project.  The DT and I loved the embossing on your project.  And the torn look around the image is just perfectly rustic.  Great work.  I will be emailing you very soon with your $6 gift voucher.  Please also be sure to grab your Gold Medal Badge here.

Our Silver Medal Award winner is Denise from My Ink Imprint.
Denise, we want to thank you too for using a SI digi stamp.  The DT and I loved the clean and simple design on this project.  Your coloring is just perfect and this project really showcases the image fully. Please be sure to grab the silver medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

And, Our Bronze Medal Award winner is Olga from Elephant Fairies.  Olga thanks so much for using Darlene's tutorial for your project.  It really takes alot of time to create the tutorials and we love seeing our hard work used for such fantastic projects.  All of the elements come together so well on this project.  Great job!  Please be sure to grab the bronze medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

Thanks again to everyone who entered our challenge this week.  Please be sure to join our new challenge which begins today.  We can't wait to see what you create.

Our guest designer this week is Monika Reeck from Creative with Monika.

Hello, my name is Monika Reeck. I am 39, and I´ve been married to Stefan Reeck since Oct 2001.  We´ve been together for almost 11 years. We have 2 handsome little boys. Kevin turn to eight on July 23, and Adrian is five years old. I live in Munich, Germany. I come from Indonesia and because I married German Man also I move here since 2001. I started stamping on April 2008, as my Hubby bought stamp sets for the first time for me. I was making cards since I came to Germany, but only with punches. Then I think with stamp it is faster and more images I can choose and put on my card. I love working with sketches and challenges and maybe you can't believe I am the only card maker who don’t have Cuttlebug or any Die Cut machine J I like to cut it my self and put on my card J I love to make Manly cards, it is easier for me to make something MANLY than GIRLY (sounds funny right?) Thanks for choosing me to be a guest designer with this lovely image, Stephanie. Lovely Images and I have fun to coloring it J

Don't forget to leave a comment for Monika at her blog for a chance to win a voucher.

Here is Monika's wonderful creation.

Terrifically Thrilling Thursday Challenge

Hello friends!  It's me, Darlene, (A G A I N) ...

My 'remember to follow the theme' punishment is over, LOL, but I'm back again today as a favor to Shelly as she is UP TO HER NECK in yard work & construction ... getting ready for the upcoming "Pond Tour" they are involved in.
Sure! You say ... that's a good excuse!  LOL!
But she did send me PROOF!
Want to see??

Here are the guys pouring concrete yesterday!

And here are more workers putting siding on the pool house!

Okay ... so I guess she is a "little busy"... no wonder she hasn't had time to craft!
MOVING ON ... Here is today's TTT Challenge.

SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT!

And our FEATURED image today is "ROOSTER" which you can purchase TODAY ONLY at a REDUCED PRICE.  So be sure to pop on over to the store (remember to register if you're a newbie ... there's perks involved) and grab this fabulous digi image for you own!

Tutorial/Technique Tuesday

Hello ... Darlene here (again!)

Do you remember a few weeks back when I "ooops, forgot to use the CHALLENGE THEME on my DT creation?" ... Well, Iron-Fist Shelly is MAKING ME PAY for that little screw-up
by doing HER tutorial/technique Tuesday SPOT today!!
Can you believe that!
What a slave driver!

All joking aside, Shelly has her hands full at home right now so I 'offered' to do this for her!
(She's really not a meany ... I just said that! Teehee!)

SO --- On To Today's Tutorial!

Let' do another Fancy Fold Card ... this time:
DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD

You will need TWO panels for this card.

Panel "A" is 4-3/16" x 9"  ... scored at 5-1/2"
Fold at the score line and set aside.

Panel "B" is 2" x 8-1/2" long and scored at 2-1/8" and 6-3/8"
Fold at score lines.

The lower portion of Panel "A" will be adhered to the INSIDE of Panel "B" and the sides will fold in to give that 'door' effect.

That is the basis of the card design ... now you can decorate it to your needs & liking!
I have created a THANK YOU card using TWO of Shelly's Images.

Here is a peek at the inside of my card.
I've added a simple SU verse onto a Spellbinder Classic Circle panel. And finished the inside bottom with a little floral stamp by Repeat Impressions.

Here's a little closer view of the detail.
I created my decorative panel for the front cover of my card then printed Shelly's "thank you sentiment" onto it.  I've colored the basket with Prismacolor markers then added Prima flowers with Kaiser pearl centers, Wedding satin flowers from JoAnn's and created my greenery using the MS 'branch' punch and the Cheery Lynn Designs B119 'Tropical Leaves' die.

I hope you've enjoyed today's tutorial and will give it a try.  Remember, if you do, we'd LOVE to see your creations ... be sure to pop back here, comment & leave us a link.

Well I guess I'd better get back to working on MY card for this week's challenge before 'Ole Iron Fist' gets after me!  LOL!  (just joking Shelly ... you're the BEST!)

Be sure to come back on Thursday for our TTT Challenge when SHELLY will be hosting!
Hope to see you then!
HUGS,
Darlene

TTT Challenge Winners - It's all about the BLINGAGE!

Whew...is it already Thursday again?  The weeks seem to be flying by!  Thanks so much to everyone who entered our "Bling" challenge.  Some truly amazing projects were entered.

Here are our winners for this week.
The Gold Medal Award winner is Leesa from Gone by the Board.
Leesa...all of your projects are stunning, but somehow each new project amazes me just a little more than the last.  This card is amazing.  We loved the warm colors and the fact that the traditional reds and greens of Christmas cards are not used here.  The bling you added is perfect.  Love those sparkly stars!  I will be emailing you very soon with your $6 gift voucher.
Our Silver Medal Award winner is Rina from Scrapbook Fashionista.
Rina...wow!  There are so many things that we loved about your project that it is a little hard to know where to start.  We LOVED the bling on this project.  And the stars that you used that frame the red and white striped paper are genius!  I love the result!  Please be sure to grab the silver medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

And, Our Bronze Medal Award winner is Hazel from My Crafty Outlook.  Hazel, thank you so much for using our "All Wrapped Up" snowman on your project this week.  We loved the silver you used behind the image and the paper pieces.  And the stars go so well with our snowman.  Great work!  Please be sure to grab the bronze medal badge to display at your blog.  You can find your badge here.

Thanks again to everyone who entered our challenge this week.  Please be sure to join our new challenge which begins today.  We can't wait to see what you create.
