Terrifically Thrilling Thursday Challenge
Happy Thursday All - we're one step closer to the weekend!
Thank you to everyone who played along with us for this past week's challenge.
How about a new challenge this week??
WHEN was the last time you did something that made you feel like a kid??
This week my hubby and I carved pumpkins - this time of year, that's one of the big things that makes me feel like a kid (if I could go Trick or Treating, that would be the icing on the cake!!) :)
Well, today's challenge I THINK will remind everyone just a LITTLE of your childhood -
TIC TAC TOE
Up and Down, Right to Left and Diagonally - pick your TIC TAC TOE and create a project that includes those three items.
Fun?
Here's my TIC-TAC-TOE - you may remember it from Monday using this week's featured image "Treasure Chest"
My TIC-TAC-TOE was - Distresing, a Punch and Bling
Let's see what kind of TIC-TAC-TOE you got!
As always, you have until next Wednesday, November 3 at midnight to finish your New project, load it below with the cute little blue frog. While SHELLY'S IMAGES aren't required to play along, we'd LOVE to see what you create with them (that means too you get 2 entries into our random drawing too).
You can check out some of the free images Shelly's Images Store has to offer, there are even some fun and free Kidz Korner Images too!
Good luck - we can't wait to see what you create!
Hugs!

A Mirror Image Tutorial Tuesday
Are you new to digi-images, or not so comfortable with the computer when it comes to adjusting images & sizes?
I'm a computer tinker-er (is that a word - if not it is today!) :) I love trying new things with my digi-images - coloring, resizing, making my own paper, but it always takes a little time and tinkering to figure things out.
So, today I wanted to teach you how to Mirror or Flip images. For today's tutorial I'm using Microsoft Publisher. This is a program I use for a lot of my digi stuff.
Let's say we have this super cute, chubby chef image, but we want the cake on the other side.
We'll go to the Arrange tab and click it - you'll have several options and the one we want to pick is Rotate or Flip. Once you click that option - it will give you other options to chose from. For this image, we want to Flip Horizontal.
And this will be the image you're left with - See how we've made a mirror image of the original image?
I hope this has been helpful for you today.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you have questions and hopefully I can help to answer them.
Can't wait to see what you create!
Hugs!

TERRIFICALLY THRILLING THURSDAY CHALLENGE!
I am a bit late getting this up this morning, for which I apologize. My week has been utterly insane!! Today's TERRIFICALLY CHALLENGE THURSDAY has to do with this time of the year. As we approach THANKSGIVING, I often take time to reflect on what I am than thankful for, and even with all the tragedy and hardships going on around the world today, I still find quite a lot to be thankful for and I hope you do too.
So, our challenge this week is THANKS & THANKSGIVING. Your project can be anything relating to Thanksgiving, being thankful, thank you notes, etc. Would LOVE to see the word "Thank" in it, but that's not a requirement.
As always, you have until the following Wednesday (that's the 27th of Oct. this time) at midnight to complete your NEW project and get it loaded up here. Remember that while SHELLY'S IMAGES are not required to join, we'd sure LOVE to see them and it will get you 2 entries in our random.org drawing for the winner!!
Good luck and can't wait to see what you create!!

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY - TIME SAVING TECHNIQUE
So it seems we are always in a rush everywhere these days and I have noticed the 2 things we always need more of are money and time. I have seen many wonderful money saving techniques demonstrated here and on many other blogs and sites throughout the internet. Today, I'm going to teach you a time saving technique. I'm sure it has a name, but I have no clue what that would be.
First, print our your SHELLY'S IMAGES DIGIS. Then, find colors and solid or mostly solid shape stamps (I have chosen an oval from Hampton Art and this square with waves from alota rubber stamps). Then choose your inks. Typically Kaleidacolor type pads work well, but I also chose to use some Tim Holtz distressing inks for the bat.
Take your image, the stamp and ink you are going to use and make sure your surface is flat.
Stamp over the image as much as you want or cover as much as you want. It's fun to turn the shape around and use different areas of the Kaleidacolor pad so that you get different combos.
For the image with the distress inks, I went from lightest to darkest and then went back and did some overlap here and there.
Choose, your papers and put your card together. I used a nestie to cut the image out. DP is from girl paperie. Then I decided to add a little sparkle, so I took my SU Aqua painter and my Twinkling H2Os and went over just the bat image with them.
For the pumpkins, I want a different effect so I went over the large one and some of the leaves below with JudiKins glaze after I had cut the image with nesties.
Embellish as desired...
I decided to add a sentiment to the bat card using Pink by Design sentiments. And wow, I have 2 nice cards in less than an hr. WOO HOO!!
I hope you have enjoyed this technique and would love to see any cards you make using it! You can post in the comments section if you try it. Thanks for looking:)
